On 25th of November, Roamfree held a media press conference for presentation of novelties concerning every achieved activity, whilst introducing the business and technical cooperation with On.net. This particular cooperation is what made it possible for users of fix telephone numbers to initiate telephone calls towards Roamfree numbers for a price of 15MKD. Amongst a lot of press and electronic media present, Roamfree with Kamelija Levenska Nikolovska as the Chief Operating Officer, George Poulos as a member of the International Roamfree team, together with On.net and Dean Milevski as the VD Chief Executive Officer and Sasho Srbakov as the Chief Officer for business development in the company, clearly established the benefits of using one international roaming SIM card in Macedonia.
Kamelija Levenska Nikolovska as the Chief Operating Officer of Roamfree accented establishment of a closer relationship with countries from Europe in the sense of having a great number of mobile operators who in the competitive race begun to decease prices for national telephone conversations. But, never the less Macedonia’s transition manner is still not even close enough to what roaming means in Europe, when having unclear and very expensive service.

- “In order for us as Macedonians to start feeling more like Europeans, we should be able to travel outside the borders of our country whilst still enjoying these privileges and to have unlimited communication with the family, the business world, with the friends. But, instead we have so far been covering expensive costs for roaming services and turning off the telephone in order not to receive incoming calls so that we could avoid further expenses. “– said Kamelija Levenska Nikolovska.
She also presented last year research data concluded from countries in Europe including stated opinion on more than 25.000 individuals. According to these results, more than 44 percent of Europeans travelled outside their country in the period of one year, out of which 81 percent only used their mobile telephones in cases of emergencies as a result of expensive roaming service, 43 percent answered they do not understand their roaming expenses while 70 percent expressed their wish for cheaper roaming prices. According to these results, the European commission recommended decrease of prices for roaming service to all mobile operators in the European Union. The commission also stated the maximum allowed price for incoming calls in amount of 0.49 euro, while the maximum price for outgoing calls was set on 0.24 euro.
The appearance of Roamfree is actually marking the beginning of one true competition when roaming services are concerned since the international pre paid Roamfree SIM card offers service in 144 countries and for cheaper prices.

When it is clearly established that prices for roaming services provided by Roamfree as much more cheaper than the ones of existing mobile operators in Macedonia, the only fault left was concerning the price for incoming calls when a call is initiated by a number from any mobile operator or by a Macedonian Telecommunication line, since this is still an expensive process. That is why Roamfree began to cooperate with On.net as a company that makes available for users to communicate for a price of 15MKD per minute, when calling their family or business associate who travels outside the country. The only procedure any user of fix line should acquire is to sign a Contract with On.net for activation of “1010” service and by that, to regulate payment of telephone bills. Dejan Milevski from On.net also greeted this pioneer initiative by Roamfree for introducing a new possibility for cheaper roaming services to Macedonian citizens who travel abroad. The efforts of both companies in fact mark the cheapest offer for international communication. With regards to the users and as a part of existing partnerships between Roamfree and On.net, both companies allow sales of both Roamfree SIM cards and vouchers, as well as forms for Contract signing for usage of internet services.
